Re: Russian & Soviet Composers - Part 3
Here's some piano music that was originally printed in Frunze (now Bishkek), Kyrgyzstan. This is the first of three composers whose works are covered in the volume. Some of the titles were in a light blue color and had faded so badly that I needed to rewrite them on post-its, so you'll all have to excuse my off-the-cuff Cyrillic scribblings. I've transliterated all of the titles below using Wikipedia's guide on the Kyrgyz alphabet, but anyone interested in the actual translations (and the translations of the tempo markings and dynamics) will need to find someone who reads Kyrgyz. If I learn more, I will update this page. A short bio (in Russian) is available at:

Re: Russian & Soviet Composers - Part 3
This composer was important in Bashkir music during the earlier years of Soviet rule. I believe this is his only major contribution to piano literature. Aside from this, he is credited with an opera and he worked on a ballet alongside composer Aleksandr Chugaev. He also wrote some children's works and vocal pieces. A short bio can be found at:
