Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
A nice little collection of pieces by Johann Valentin Rathgeber (3 April 1682 – 2 June 1750).

Several nice scans of piano music by Adolf Ruthardt have recently appeared on IMSLP:

Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
Anyone have a copy of Henselt's Op.20 Pressentiment they could share? I found it listed in Worldcat but my ILL request came back unfilled. Thanks.

I'm hoping someone has the Loeschhorn studies op. 136, particularly no. 20.
Cheers,
P.

I believe the original is 3 books of 11 pieces each for a total of 33 studies--here's a Russian edition of books 1 & 2 (22 pieces) containing the piece you seek. (NMS) Anyone with book 3?

Thanks, Jim, for posting the first two books of the Loeschhorn studies. These are very worthwhile pieces. I was happy to see both hands fairly equal treatment of the figurations.

Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
To the 100th anniversary of the death of Felix Draeseke (1835-1913) klassik-resampled presents 34 new recordings of Pianomusic (and orchestral music see here).
Beside the already mentioned Waltzes op 3 + 4 you can hear now also the Waltzes op.5, the Fantasy on Boiledieus La dame blanche op.8, six Fugues for Piano op.15 , 18 Canons á 6-8 Voci op.42, and 6 "kanonische Ratsel" op.42.
Except the Waltz op.5/1 all other pieces seem to be recorded the first time in the right instrumentation. (there have been only two recordings with arrangements for other instruments before: the Fugues op.15 recorded with an Organ and the "kanonischen Ratsel" op.42 recorded arranged for Strings)
The scores are linked mostly with the recordings.
I hope you like this wonderful music.
