Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
It seems that the set of all three sonatinas is hard to find. The only publicly available source in Germany I could find is the University Library of Leipzig:

@ klavierelch & @Timtin
Thanks for this! At least it might give me some traction. I have never tried to sniff something out on the international side via interlibrary lending services, I will have a chat with my point at school next week to see if a university/college to university/college loan is possible accross the pond (within US borders has been pretty seemless but I'm not sure how this will go over).
If I can get this in, will do my best to provide a good one board (my hardware is junk so I'd pony up and go to the university library or document shop and use their better imaging equipment). In the meantime maybe and hopefully someone will beat me to the punch and surprise us (as I don't feel super confident I'll be able to swing and import/loan)

Wilhelm Maria Puchtler (1848-1881)
Alfor very kindly posted a recording of some of Puchtler's music here:
viewtopic.php?p=19938#p19938
For me the high point is the "Liebeslied" from "Charakterstudien" Op.41 No.4. It starts at 3:54 on the recording.
Does anyone have the score of this very beautiful piece? In its gentleness it reminds me of Otto Nicolai's Etude "Gruss an Liszt", Op.40 No.3.
Also very nice is the last piece on the recording, "Nächtlicher Ausblick", "Decameron" Op.23 No.8, starting at 16:54.
Thanks very much.

I need your pleasant help. Does anybody know the composer of the attached file "Sarabande with 5 Variations"? It sounds like a post- or late romantic german (austrian, swiss?) composer. The theme was out of a Sarabande from Händel.
Thank's in advance,
Georgio
With your help - I got it from a German library... Best regards, Georgio

I'm glad I could help you ID the piece. Thanks for posting the whole set--I'll have a go at them later this evening.

Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
Sorry for my late answer, I just found your request now.Scriabinoff wrote:Hello to all. I'm new to posting to this forum (though I have been enjoying my 'catch up reading' all over the different boards). This is my first request and I sincerely hope someone can help (I had touched bases with member via PM and it was suggested I post here when they did not have the score I'm searching for).
Composer: Carl Heinrich Carsten Reinecke (June 23, 1824-March 10, 1910)
Composition Title: Op.251 - 3 Sonatinas for Piano
No 1.C major
No 2.F major
No 3.G major (Weihnachts-Sonatine)
Here is op 251 and since you seem to be interested in pianocompositions on christmassongs from Reinecke here is also his two "Fantasien" on Chrisatmascarols op.221 Both uploads has been already bad copies, when I copied them years ago at the Berlin StaBi. To upload them I compressed them a bit. I hope you still can find the music in it you are looking for.

Hi,
thank you very much indeed! But I am afraid that Reinecke's op.221 is missing the last page(s). Could you scan them, please?

George(ham)
