Ignaz Lachner
Someone (outside this group) asked me for a scan of this set of piano pieces by Ignaz Lachner (1807-95) - brother of composers Franz and Vincenz - which does not seem have been uploaded elsewhere, so I thought I would share it.

Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
Phillip, thanks for posting this interesting Lachner piece. It joins the other Lachner piece by Vinzenz Lachner in my library. It amazes me how anyone could think to ask about some of these really obscure composers, but they do and we get to rediscover them all over again.

For the vast majority of European composers copyright will be linked to his date of death [1972]...so all his works would remain under copyright for 70 years from that date [and can be extended for a further 25 years after that date if a pubisher feels the composer / works will still remain financially viable]. I think we have had the odd Apostel work posted on PP as an example of his music but for the majority we should not post on PP [although a member can always contact you privately to discuss].
Malcolm
PS: just noticed this work is still available in print from Universal Edition [so should be able to obtain a copy through any good music sales retailer / on-line retailer].

Hello Friends,
I wanted to bring everyone's attention to an important posting made today by IMSLP. It is Ernst Pauer's Piano Sonata, Op. 22. I've had a look at the score, and it is definitely something not to be missed!!!
All Best,
Frank
