This is fascinating. Are the parts available? It also say Nonet, but there are only 8 parts and it doesn't say Dancer anywhere. Can you tell us more about this piece? Thanks very much for this posting.

Sorry, I don't have parts of this piece.

Anyway, According to Larry Sitsky's Book,
The role of the mime is the ninth. but there is no mention of a mime artist in the score, and therefore no clue as to the sort movements that were required.

Thanks for the information. I'd like to perform this work sometime.

Does anyone know of any ensemble music involving 2 pianos or 1-piano-4-hands with whatever (strings, winds)
Preferably 19c or 20c, romantics, late romantics, or early 20c....

not Bartok 2-pianos and percussions....

Thanks

This is probably more than you want, but since I have PDFs of the reference books...

If it was me, I might look at these first:
- Brahms - Liebeslieder Waltzes - 1 piano 4 hands + vocalists
- Saint-Saëns - Carnival of the Animals - 2 pianos and misc strings/woodwinds
- Bach concerti for 2 keyboards - just add a variable number of string players
- Claude Bolling (classical/jazz hybrid) Sonata #2 - for 2 pianos with percussion and double bass
