This Saturday 23rd of March, Goldsmiths College, Centre for Russian Music and the Liszt Society are hosting the Anton Rubinstein Discovery Day:

This is a rare chance to hear romantic masterpieces from Russia's first truly professional musician, the great pianist, composer, conductor and pedagogue Anton Rubinstein.
Musicians will include: Leslie Howard and Coady Green (piano), Morgan Goff (viola), Rita Manning (violin), Justin Pearson and Patrick Johnson (cello), Neil Latchman (tenor) and Laura Wolk-Lewanowicz (soprano).
The event will consist of four short concerts with regular intervals. The music to be performed includes:
Piano Sonata No. 1 Opus 12
Cello Sonata No. 1 Opus 18
Four Songs from Opus 8 and Der Asra Opus 32 No. 6
Eight Songs from the Persian Songs Opus 34
Sonata for piano duet Opus 89
Viola Sonata Opus 49
Six Etudes Opus 23, piano solo
Piano Quartet Opus 66
Tickets are £20 for the entire event. This includes a free glass of wine. The event will have concluded before 8pm.
