Re: Orchestral Scores by Russian & Soviet Composers
From Georgian music site: I have included a short biography below as he was a completely new composer to me.
Kakhi Abramovich Rosebashvili. Born 1930, Tbilisi. Georgian musicologist, composer and teacher.
Graduated in 1955 from the Tbilisi Conservatoire after studies in music folklore, then again in 1969 after studies in composition with Machavariani. Completed post-graduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Georgian SSR under Chkhikvadze.
From 1955-60 taught at the Tbilisi music school No. 4, and from 1960-70 was departmental head of the Folklore team at the Tbilisi conservatoire (including from 1954 as member of folklore expeditions, and author of articles on the issues around folklore studies). Also compiler and published Gregorian chant (Tbilis 1968 & 1976).
