The Belaieff Circle

The following works were all published through Belaieff, a publishing company created by the Russian millionaire, Mitrofan Petrovich Belaieff - himself an amateur muscian and an ardent fan of music especially from his own country. The publishing house was created in 1895 to promote the music of Glazunov and in turn encompassed many other composers, which helped to establish them within the vast pantheon of Russian composers, great and small. And despite revolution and world wars the company and name Belaieff remains today as a symbol of the endurance and beauty of Russian music across the globe.
