ouvrage technique capital et sont restés inédites. (Composées entre
1939 et 1942). Avec ces études, il va encore plus loin dans la recherche
de deux plans sonores différents dans une seule main."

It seems no-one has posted the Op.43 Etudes, so here is my copy, I won't say enjoy unless you really are such masochists.

How wonderful to have Blanchet's Op.43 Etudes. This is another wonderful collection of highly original pieces that Blanchet seemingly turned out at will. The 10th etude is really outstanding IMHO.

Thanks ever so much for these!
Now if I could only get a few minutes to sit down and try some of them out (not that I could play them anyway!)...

Many thanks for those studies.

http://biblio.hemu-cl.ch/fonds_anciens/ has four short pieces in pdf format available for download (there are also mp3s for each respective piece). They are listed as follows:

étude, op. 69 no. 1
suite, op. 54 no. 1
prélude, op. 54 no. 7
lento, op. 54 no. 9

op. 54 is not the Exercises du Forme Musicale but 54b, a "Suite Romantique".

Also on the page is a pdf file called "description du fonds" which lists the title and dedication of all known Blanchet compositions, published and unpublished.

Thank your for this! A lot of very valuable infos on Blanchet here. It appears we now know where a huge depository of Blanchet pieces resides - Conservatoire de Musique de Lausanne. It also looks like the conservatorie is getting in the publishing game with crisp new editions. I hope they continue to mine the vast resources at their disposal and release more of Blanchet's marvelous compositions.

All thanks for these scores should go to Roncesvalles, who managed to obtain from a very helpful Haute Ecole de Musique et Conservatoire de Lausanne, and Parag who cleaned and organised the scores. I was merely the messenger boy !!

An excellent addition to our growing knowledge of Blanchet's piano music, and hats-off to Roncesvalles for trackng these down and requesting copies of the scores. We think the annotations may be in the composer's hand, since Lausanne holds a fair number of scores and related items to the composer.

Dear Malcolm, Parag and Roncesvalles,

Thank you so much for this INCREDIBLE influx of scores by the genius Blanchet! I'm really exicted by the Preludes, but everything looks to be at his highest-of-the-high standard of piano writing. Just superb! Thanks a million. :D :D

All Best,

Frank
