Would Constant Lambert's piano duet "Trois Pieces Negres sur les Touches Blanches" fit your criterion?

Sounds like another candidate, Jim. However, without actually
seeing the score (it's blocked on IMSLP), one can't be certain.
I'll scan my Handel example later today.
Regards, Tim.

Here's the Handel I had in mind. The book it's from (ca.1830)
rather splendidly gives all the tempi in pendulum inches. Who
needs metronomes anyway - ghastly unmusical things. I hate 'em!

Sorry, I thought it appeared here at one time. In any event, here's the Lambert (nms):

Thanks, Jim. That certainly qualifies. I expect there
are various other examples out there also, but actually
thinking of them isn't that easy.

Q.What do Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Dvorak, Liszt, Mozart, and Prokofiev
all have in common?
A.They're all craters on Mercury!

NASA's Messenger space probe has just discovered that underneath the polar crater of
Prokofiev, there may be vast amounts of water.

Have we finally stumbled across the definition of what constitutes a great composer?
That is to say, do they have a Mercurial crater named after them? I do hope so!
Regards, Tim.
PS Tchaikovsky is represented, but annoyingly, they've spelled his name with a C.

I'm waiting for someone to name an asteroid after me...
