Occasionally I get called upon by other choruses to bump up the numbers, but in this case, Midsummer Opera, I have been a member since the chorus was established in London in 2000 by my good friends the conductor David Roblou and his tenor partner John Upperton: http://www.midsummeropera.org.uk/

Our latest offering is a Puccini-Poulenc-Puccini sandwich - concert performances of two of the 'Trittico' one-acters with Poulenc's magnificently irreverent Gloria in between. The Puccini operas are Il Tabarro & Suor Angelica. Colourful Flyer attached.

Performances are at St John's Church, Waterloo Road, London SE1, just across from Waterloo Station near London's South Bank Arts Centre - Friday 16th & Saturday 17th of October 2009 at 7pm.

Much as I love the Puccini, it was the opportunity to do the Poulenc that got my interest - but it's a stunning combination of works - and we're really quite good too. ;)
