Major minor minor major

A few nights ago I got together with a few (admittedly slightly inebriated) friends and we thought we'd try out some well-known pieces in the major key (where they were originally minor) and vice versa, on the piano. Some of them worked quite well, particularly the Chopin funeral march from the 2nd sonata - the middle part was particularly lovely in D flat minor. The Beethoven "Moonlight" sonata didn't go so well, but we tried a few others using the same trick. We all agreed that they sounded familiar, but "wrong", so I was wondering whether, in a more sober state of course, you might like to try out a few more and post your opinions on the results?
