And here's a major work by one of the lesser-celebrated l'Ecole de Paris composers, a France-based Hungarian composer who was a friend and associate to bigger figures like Tansman and Martinu. This is the only chamber work of Harsanyi's that's available on a commercial recording, sharing a disc with Tansman's septet and one of Martinu's own nonets.

Some very interesting modern work from Armenia. This composer shouldn't be confused with the other Hrachya Spirodonovich Melikyan, who composed in a more traditional idiom during the first half of the twentieth century (and died in WWII). A number of this composer's different chamber works were showcased in Soviet volumes during the 1970s-80s. A bio can be seen at:
