Maybe you have to be a bit sentimental to love Puccini's Suor Angelica. It always moved me deeply.
Senza mama (pages 48-56) is one of those (many) Puccini arias that also sound well on the piano.
The transcriber isn't mentioned in my exemplar, which has the front cover missing.
It is from 1919. I suppose it must be Carlo Carignani, who also did the vocal score of this one.

Thank you Krotek! The upload of complete operas arr piano solo
has slowed down greatly in the last couple of years, so rare ones
such as this are real collectors' items.

kroket, thanks for the delightful Puccini transcription. Pucini does indeed come across very well in the hands of a good transcriber.

Two beautiful Mozart concertos from 1784: no. 17 in G (KV 453) and no. 18 in Bes (KV 456), transcribed by Carl Reinecke. Arthur Hutchings writes of KV453: "There are three glorious movements".
Of KV456 he writes: "It is strongly recommended to the home pianist since it is easy to read, easy to remember, and grateful to the fingers; the only difficulty is to play it cleanly and crispy and to know when to give it the warmth of the sustaining pedal." Not the best of scans, but the book is big and tends to fall apart.

The quality of the music is far more important than the quality of the scans themselves imho.

I do in fact have some of the Mozart Concertos edited by Reinecke...I will provide highres scans as soon as my time allows

Two duos by Mozart for violin & viola, transcribed by Otto Reinsdorf: KV 423 & KV 424.
These are the duos with a well known story. In 1783 Mozart, who at that time ofcourse lived in Vienna, visited his father and sister in Salzburg. Michael Haydn had to compose six duos for violin & viola for the Archbishop, but after composing only four duos he got sick (or drunk!). There was only little time left to complete the set of six duos and Mozart helped his friend to compose quickly these two incredible masterpieces. Greetings, kroket
