I think there was a film made about this bloke. Perhaps this is the composer of the soundtrack to the Soviet version of Dr Strangelove?

Two sonatas of completely different make:

Kurt BENNEWITZ (1886 - ?? German composer and scientist)
Sonate F Moll (1915; rooted in the Schumann-Brahms tradition, but with many individual touches. Would make an effective concert piece!)
