No problem Alex - they are richly deserved - and your modesty
is also very refreshing to see. To my mind, you're adding to the
existing classical repertoire for the piano, which has to be good news.
If the file is also uploaded to IMSLP, many more pianists will be able
to enjoy the fruits of your labours.

The string quartet genre is one of the greatest imo, and yet it is
severely under-represented in 2H transcription form, despite being
ideally suited for this sort of treatment. I dream about being able
to play the quartets of Cherubini and Spohr on the piano one day,
not to mention those by Haydn which are currently unavailable and
Mozart's 13 early ones.

I wonder, did this composer write down his music with HB pencils?
Btw, fwiw, 'blotchier zero' is an anagram of Hector Berlioz!

Why not check out this freshly uploaded file to IMSLP?
It's the ca.1862 Ivan Tscherlitzky (Čerlickij) piano solo arrangement
of Mendelssohn's 2nd. String Quintet. As with his 2H arrangement
of M's Octet, it's a genuine rarity, and it cost a small fortune!
But unlike the Octet arrangement of 1861, it doesn't seem to be
listed in the Austrian National Library's Hofmeister catalogue.
Sadly, no 2H version of M's 1st. String Quintet exists.
(New project for Alex?!)

amongst other things.

They (2H PTs) start from being inviting and appealing and reach levels of tremendous excitement, exuberance, élan and finesse!

Dear Aggelos - I'm with you 100% on that!
It's a funny old world - umpteen editions of the Beethoven
piano sonatas have been printed, and yet there are various of
his non-piano works which don't exist all at in 2H arrangements,
despite that fact (or rather, my opinion fwiw) that most of the
arrangements which have been made make perfectly acceptable
piano works in their own right, e.g. the Beethoven/Winkler
string quartets.

As Busoni said (to paraphrase), all of music is actually a transcription of the composer's original conceptions. So why not let our ten fingers get in on the fun that other instruments enjoy!
