I wonder if the poster on IMSLP meant that the piano/cello or piano/violin version was published in December of 1871?
Berlin State Library seems to have that arrangement:-

Pazdirek quotes only a 4H version. The 2H version info comes from 'Cáceres, p.124, Das echte und innerliche in der Kunst: Der Komponist, Dirigent und Padagoge Woldemar Bargiel(1828-1897): Ein Beitrag zur Musikgeschichte des Unbekannten 19. Jahrhunderts'. I don't have access to that book.

Does anyone have J. S. Bach’s Air on the G String, from the Orchestral Suite Number 3 for 2H (not the simplified version for beginners) ; I cannot download it from IMSLP.

Thanks

Try this (very good) transcription by Alexander Siloti.

This is a sample number from Paul Abraham's delightful operetta Viktoria und ihr Husar.

I just found an audio recording of this amazing transcription of Prokofiev's "Lt. Kije - Troika" by Frederic Chiu. I saw that someone posted an autographed cover of Chiu's transcription - is there a copy of the score floating around out there?
Thank you.

Thanks, Jim. I had no idea that this transcription was available. I promptly plunked down my $18 -- this is very high quality work that I am happy to pay for.
