I am looking for the piano music from the 1947 film The Paradine Case. I think it is called Appassionata by Franz Waxman. I have searched and searched and searched and can’t find it anywhere.

Thank you and best wishes!
There's a snippet here (https://www.jstor.org/stable/10.5406/mu ... 0034?seq=1) indicating that "Southern Music Publishing" control the rights. I also note that Piers Lane has recorded the piece - perhaps contacting him (or the Queensland Symphony Orchestra) might throw up some leads.

The composer Mikhail Ziv (1921 – 1994), pupil of the more famous Dmitrij Kabalevskij, wrote this beautiful soundtrack (for the 1959 film Ballad of a Soldier) in the form of a classical orchestral suite.
Here you can listen to the original version for orchestra

Here you can read the plot of the film

For reasons that are difficult to explain, I arranged the Prologue after publishing the first video with the other 3 pieces.

A transcription of Stephen Hough's arrangement of The Bare Necessities from Disney's The Jungle Book, as played by Lang Lang on his Disney album

PDF link in the description. The transcriber has other items from that album.
