The Tansman Suite is wonderful, Alfor, and a great addition to our Tansman collection. He really needs more press and no good reason for being relatively obscure.
Also been having great fun with the MELARTIN pieces. Found a few more of his pieces at IMSLP including a delicious piece called Autumnal Wind which immediately brought to my mind the Alkan piece you just posted, but this time working arpeggios a bit more.
Thanks for all this great music, Alfor.

The unknown composer:
Wilhelm SPEIDEL (German pianist, composer and conductor, 1826-1899;
edited Haydn, Czerny, Mendelssohn, Chopin)
Suite (quasi Sonata) in 5 Sätzen op. 111 (substantial 19th century music)

Extensive Anthology with piano works (reproductions from original editions) of
Agathe BACKER GRØNDAHL (1847-1907)
Eminent Norwegian pianist and good composer - in fact a far more substantial composer
than for example Cecile Chaminade, imho.

Alfor, the extensive introductory notes in Anthology A of the BACKER GRØNDAHL is just what is needed to shed some light on this undeservedly obscure composer. It it nice to have this widely varied collection of pieces--which are much fun to play. IMSLP has a substantial collection of her works.

Alfor, thanks for the 2nd volume the Tansman--I like the pieces in this volume a bit more than the other two, but they're all worthwhile. A big treat to get the Halffter Sonata as the only other piece of his that I have is the Once Bagatela. This sonata is great fun to play, too.

Certainly deserve a high-quality scan:
Emile-Robert BLANCHET
64 Preludes op. 41 serie I 17 Preludes
(this opus plus a couple of Alkan Etudes and you are well prepaired for the Chopin-Godowsky studies!!)
Blanchet Preludes op.41 vol.1.pdf
Ignaz FRIEDMAN
Vier Klavierstücke op. 27 (Nos. 1,3,4 only)
Friedman Klavierstücke op.27.pdf
and an addition to Fred's new thread:
Joseph ACHRON
Statuettes op. 66 (unfortunately there are 2 pages missing in my score - hope to provide them soon)
Achron Statuettes op.66.pdf
P.S. Dear isokani,
belated congratulations for your violin sonata!!
("As a composer Mr. P. is best where his compositions
reflect the range of his
pianistic repertoire from Blumenfeld to Sorabji.")

Thanks for all the pieces Alfor. Tansman is really great. Just to mention I think Friedman op27 is a double post.
