Alfor, the Musik der Zeit series is turning out to be a really nice collections of short pieces and I also look forward to the other volumes, as the first two you have posted are outstanding. The Friedmann pieces are another great find, and I especially like the Etude. Thanks for posting these.

Thanks Alfor.

That Strauss Intermezzo is a delight. The middle section and the end are wonderful!

I had no idea Strauss wrote so beautifully for the piano.

Dear Alfred,

Thank you so much for continuing to scan the Musik der Zeit series! These volume are simply wonderful. I can't say enough in praise of this set! In many cases it seems like the pieces flow naturally along, one into the next; almost as if programmatic. It's apparent that a great deal of thought went into the selection of pieces included in this incredible Universal collection. What a find! There can't be more than a few sets of this series in existence, considering the general high acid content of the paper they used (the Universal editions I have are mostly dark brown from oxidation). I doubt that this score will ever leave my piano.... :) :)

Alles Gute,

Frank

Dear Alfor, I must echo Frank's thoughts on the most wonderful Musk der Zeit series. These collections show a great deal of careful thought by the editor(s). She sheer playability of these pieces outshine most if not all of the many other collections you have posted. I have greatly enjoyed playing through all the pieces in each volume of the collection.
