Alfor, I very much welcome to upgrade my copy of one of the best portions of Godowsky's Java Suite. This suite has a lot of highly ingenious writing some of which valiantly attempts to emulate aspects of the gamelan and other elements of Bali & Java. It is a wonderful suite of pieces, of which this portion may be the best.

Eminent pianist but neglected composer:
Ignaz (Ignazy) FRIEDMAN (1882-1948)
Like many other musicians of his generation he was much admired and praised
in the earlier years of his career, while the same critics in later years critizised his overly
eccentric and then somewhat old-fashioned style of piano playing.
As a composer he stands in the middle between Poldini and Godowsky. He preferred the short forms
and many of his works have a distinctly Viennese flavour. Many are of a considerable quality
(indeed much better than Poldini - sorry, Sir M.) and should not be regarded as mere salon music.
(Edited Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, etc. with interesting fingering and pedaling - also showing half-pedal.)
So judge for yourself (very rare early works, still published in Poland - more to follow).
Cinq Morceaux op. 13
Friedman 5 Morceaux op.13.pdf
Quatre Mazourkas op. 15
Friedman 4 Mazourkas op.15.pdf
Alexandre TANSMAN
sonatine transatlantique
fox-trot
spiritual and blues
charleston
(the step brother of Wiener's "Sonatine Syncopee"! Tansman at his best!)

Awesome Alfor. Specially Friedman, for being rare, but also Tansman, because his pieces are of high quality in my opinion.
