Thanks for the site references. With regard to Spross, the site suggests "Dr. Spross was well known in his day, and a catalog in the Germania music library lists nearly 1,000 compositions".
I find this very interestng since I had never heard of him and the piece I posted is the only one I have which I found entirely by chance.

I will do a bit more digging and see if anything else worthwhile turns up worthy of posting.

of this type, which the musical cognoscenti doubtless love to hate!
(Just click on View Score to bring up each page of a score from any
of the nearly 10,000 piano scores available. The coloured front covers
of many of these items are themselves works of art imo.)

Here is something by the British composer and pianist (Guillaume) Ignace Gibsone (London 1826 - 1897). I have been contacted by the family of his ggg granddaughter who is learning the piano and would like to play some of his music. Alas this is the only piece I have by him, and I can't seem to find any of his music posted elsewhere. Can anyone help?

Btw, the British Library has a reference to another composer called
Gibsone, one Burford George Henry Gibsone, whoever he was.
