Everybody should work here ... There are a lot of sources that should be checked daily for new scores, e.g. the site of the Spanish National Library where about 30,000 scores are available as pdfs and only a part of those have been downloaded and stored at IMLSP

I don't mind, but why me in particular?
Perhaps it might be a good opportunity for members who have yet to
upload anything themselves for whatever reason (e.g. lack of a scanner)
to get more actively involved.

For some reason I remember an old post of yours in which, in search of a specific piece of music which might have been any one of hundreds (or thousands) on a site where files were named alphanumerically only, you had declared something to the effect that - "not that it will stop me getting it eventually - even if I have to download every single file first !

I now wonder if I perhaps have misremembered you as that original poster.

No need to apologise - it probably was me who said that!
Actually, having just looked at a digitised score from Milan Conservatory,
I don't know how to make a decent image grab, in order to produce a pdf.

Tim, Tobyjj, a little in-depth work should conduce you to a succesful - although painful - job.
Images are easily displayed, then working with the left menu you can visualize the image in the largest format allowed by your screen, then you grab the image using for example a tool like "ScreenHunter 5.1 Free". Last step : merge all the images into a pdf ... This job is particularly time consuming for large opera scores.
