For your weekend edutainment (entercation?), here are 10 anagrams
of compositions by one amazing composer, plus one anagram which is
entirely unrelated, but which sounds like it should be related.
Can you identify the compositions, the composer, and the (Pianophilian)

Timtim, Timtim, you've done it again, clue 8 should be "It is obscurantic rumps" not lumps
then the answers will be as follows

I've just read the very important fact that the German name of the little monkey Cotton-top tamarin (or Saguinus oedipus) is Lisztaffe. Wiki mentions "It takes its name probably because of the similarity of his hairstyle to that of the Austro-Hungarian composer Franz Liszt".

hehe, it could be indeed, though from the wikiphotos a cross between Paderewski and Nigel Kennedy would be more likely, goodness knows what latinised name it would then receive!

Just to clarify things, the odd nos. have lyrics by Gilbert and the even
nos. have music by Sullivan. These are the actual composers/lyricists:-

1. Clay/Gilbert
2. Sullivan/Burnand
3. Clay/Gilbert
4. Sullivan/Stephenson (aka Rowe)
5. Clay/Gilbert
6. Sullivan/Sturgis
7. Cellier/Gilbert
8. Sullivan/Grundy
9. Carr/Gilbert
10. Sullivan/Hood.

Using the (usual?) convention of composer then lyricist, logically the phrase
should be 'Sullivan and Gilbert', rather than the reverse.

All these works are SO out of fashion, including with almost everyone here,
I dare say, that I just had to give them a mention.

I had to censor one of the anagrams, and another one just got through.

Following my painful shaving accident last week in which both arms
were severed above the elbow, I've now become an internationally
renowned foot pianist. My numerous publications of piano music
for 2F have been an instant and amazing success across the globe.
Here's an example of an arrangement for 2F I've made of a piece
by Diller and Quaile, complete with toeings. The lack of rests is
deliberate - the unused foot on each stave is for controlling the
pedals, needless to say.
