Aleksandr Alekseyevich Shenshin Born 1890, Moscow: died 1944, Moscow. Conductor, pedagogue and composer. Studied composition with Arakishvili, Gliere, Grechaninov and Yavorsky, conducting with Saradzhev, and piano with Gnesina. Graduated in 1915 from the Moscow University and joined its faculty. Later taught at the Moscow Conservatoire (1922-24) and the Scriabin Music School (1924-29), and held various conducting positions in local theatres. His music reflects a lyrical romantic flavour with some exotic elements (occassionally with influences of Liszt and early Scriabin).

A few of his works have been posted previous - I know Alfor posted at least one work - and a couple of Preludes from Op 10 have also been shared on this site.......here is the fully work.

Thanks a lot, Malc! After my searches, I believe one can find in the forum, the Shenshin Piano Sonata and the Preludes Op3.
