Greetings, I hope we can give this work a home (if it needs one, i.e. not copyrighted and not currently alreadyt posted or available elsewhere for free download), mainly needs the eyes of someone who can read Cyrilic? Or if someone simply recognizes the score/music perhaps we can then ID it and see if it belongs or if it does not.

It's the waltz from the movie "My Tender and Affectionate Animal" (in German: "Mein liebes zärtliches Tier") out of the year 1978, based on a novel by Anton Chekhov (Tschechov). The composer is Jewgeni Doga.

Thank you so very much for this. It seems this score is actually floating around on the interwebs afterall (now that I can search for it), though I could not find it in PDF form (aside from this conversion from another user on a subscription only download database/source) , just a few jpg images, I can leave this here for now until it can be verified if the piece is in print/published. I will try to find information on the composer but if anyone else can provide any information and whether we can leave it on PP with a move to the film thread, that would be great too.

Edit. Apologies, I just learned this composer is still alive and per PP policy, his music is not to be uploaded here. I have taken it down, but am still thankful for the help in identifying the aforementioned work and the composer.

Biography

Doga was born on March 1, 1937 in the village of Mocra in the Rîbniţa district of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He made his debut in the composition art in 1963, with a string quartet, later becoming the author of many musical compositions, film and theater soundtracks.

After graduating from the Conservatoire in Chişinău, he performed as violoncellist in the Orchestra of the State Committee of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic for television and radio (1957–1962), taught at the Music College "Stefan Neaga" from Chişinău (1962–1967), and worked from 1967 to 1972 at the repertory-editorial Board of the Ministry of Culture of Moldova.

Doga wrote music for more than 200 films, spectacles and ballets. He is the author of many cantatas, composed a symphony, instrumental music, romances, a symphonic poem, many songs for children, etc.

He composed music for many films, including Maria, Mirabella and Мой Ласковый И Нежный Зверь (English: My Sweet and Tender Beast), which is known under its international title, A Hunting Accident.

Wonder what the movie is about with a title like "My Tender and Affectionate Animal." I have a tender and affectionate dog, cat, and horse, but somehow I don't think that's what the movie plot concerns.

apologies for 'cluttering' up the thread. the piece seems to be floating around on the interwebs and should be easy enough to find with some creative search-engining (made up word ).

i do wonder about the movie as well, maybe there is some less obvious meaning 'lost in translation' perhaps?
