FLUFF (A Rag) is an interesting mystery. If I'm not wrong, it has been released under piano roll form only towards 1910.

According to the Ragtime Compendium vers.10 the name is possibly an alias for Paul C. Pratt.

Maybe Luigi has more infos about this?

Dear Benjamin,
I'm writing from an internet point right now. Today the weather is not exceptional, so we decided not to go to the sea.
I'm shocked by the number of very very rare rags tha Frank posted!!!
Next week I'll be back to work and I'll have my printer work a lot!!
By the way Frank included that "Apeda Rag" that I was looking for since some time, since I had heard a great recording of that rag played by Trebor Tichenor.
Anyway, now I just wanted to say that yes, "Fluff" was composed by Paul Pratt.
Pratt sometimes used pseudonyms, another one was Paul Parsell: under that name he lead a band, P.Parsell and his Sycamores, and recorded some piano rolls.
It was Terry Parrish who discovered "Fluff" and a number of other Pratt unpublished rags (those were then typeset by Tom Brier).
When I met Terry in Rome he told me about Pratt and his music: Terry had been in contact with Pratt's widow and had obtained some very precious stuff from her, including a home recording of Paul Pratt playing the "Maple Leaf Rag".
When I'll be back home I'll post more unpublished rags by Paul Pratt: "The Tickler", "Bones" and "The Aeroplane Rag", the latter being note for note identical to "Fluff", but in a different key.

Looking at Frank's fantastic ragtime scores, I'm really anxious to try "At A Raggity Rag-time" by Richard Barrett: it looks like the kind of rag I love the best!
I looked at the score and the subtitle indicating "every note a rag" seems to be the best description for such a piece

Thanks for the rags posted so far.

I have held off from posting in this thread because: a) I seem to have a vast quantity of rag material, b) it is totally unorganised at present and c) some of it is of dubious quality / merit and d) a lot of it is probably public domain.

However, I'll make a tentative start and try and get my collection in order in due course!

I'm interested in your promises of unpublished Paul Pratt pieces.

I also have a version of the aeroplane rag - but I do not see my version as being an exact transposition of Fluff (of which I had never heard anything) - this is interesting.

I really must get my rag material properly organised and "labelled"
