I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I don't have a separate cello part for Alkan's Sonata de Concert. I have the viola part from Sibley, I have the IMSLP score and I have the combined score in MacDonald's edition, but I don't have a separate cello part- can anyone post that? Thanks in advance. I'm not posting this in the Chamber Music section because that is less active.

Wonderful- for some reason the cello part got separated from my Barenreiter score, and I have not been able to find it. Thank you so much.

Could someone please clear up the discrepancies between Alkan's Op.21 and Op.47

There's no reason to suggest Alkan's 'Bombardo Carillon' is his Op. 47. IMSLP lists it as such, but on the scanned score itself, no opus number is given.
Furthermore, the Alkan Society website lists it as a work without opus number, so I'd guess the experts are correct on that front!

Opus 21 is the Grand duo Concertante in F sharp minor for piano and violin
Opus 47 is the Sonate de concert in E major for Piano and Cello.
In Ronald Smith's book on Alkan (The Music) he also gives opus 47 (c1869) as the Finale (Saltarelle) from the Cello Sonata, arranged for piano duet.

This clarifies these Alkan opus numbers. The Bombardo Carillon was mucking things up and I've now filed it as a WOO. Thank you for clarifying.

Interesting. He was more noted for conducting than for composing.
Pasdeloup is a rather funny name in French, which might be the equivalent of Wolfgang.
