I, too, have been on the edge of my piano bench in the hope for more Kaun and Alfor has found for us the remaining Op.38 sonatinas and wonderful Spitzweg-Bilder and what a highly original collection of character pieces they are. One can almost sense the influence of Schumann sitting next to Kaun as he wrote these pieces. The Op.38 Sonatinas are also simply delightful and great fun. Kaun is a composer with whom we all been waiting to get acquainted with. Many thanks, Alfor.

Dear Alfor,

I wanted to thank you once again for introducing us to the wonderful and original Hugo Kaun. His music becomes increasingly endearing the more you play through it. Some of his works are a bit of a challenge, but generally all of them seem to fall under the hands quite well after some work. And they are all very, very worthy of the work and careful study to play them up to speed. He is a true forgotten hero of the piano literature, and we are incredibly fortunate for your discovery of this great composer, recognizing his genius and sharing with us all these impossibly rare scores of his!

All Best,

Frank :D

Dear Alfor,
thank you for your indefatigable work in discovering rare piano scores.
I'm from Italy and I appreciated Perrachio's Preludes very much.
I'm a musicologist, I studied the Italian instrumental music between the 19th and 20th century.
So, more Italian piano music, please.
PS: The Kaun's Serenade is damaged: can you reupload it?
Thank you.

Dear arneros,

the file "Serenade" is not a score, but a painting by Carl Spitzweg. I will upload an intact version!

best regards

alfor

P.S. regarding Italian piano music: if you can tell me same (rare) names, I can try a search!
Best regards, Alfor S. Cans
