Many thanks for the Bury work....I know of the composer, but had never actually seen any of his music.

Thank you for the BURY work, Alfred. A very interesting piece, indeed! The indicated phrasing and pedal marks seem somewhat out of step with each other. Szymanowski/Scriabin influenced, I'd say. A challenging work.

This work was premiered at the Chopin competition in 1949.
I am not quite sure whether it was an Obligatory Piece,
but if so, I guess many participants were quite happy, because it is
of only modest difficulty. Contemporay writing „Ad usum Delphini“,
but an excellent piece for prima-vista playing - hence my dedication to fleubis...

Alfor, good to see the Bury getting downloaded. I actually managed to buy a copy in PWM in Krakow. It would be good to have more Bury piano music -- maybe about 75 minutes in total? I wonder if anyone has a worklist somewhere.

There is a worklist on the last page of Alfor's fine scan. Only five Works for piano listed.

This is the only piece I have ever seen with Bury. And I'm very interested in Polish composers !

Buried indeed! This chap is well worth exploring in those dusty archives that you lucky folks in Europe have access too. I played through Bury's Op.35 again today and what a remarkable work it is--and very pianistic. When more of his works are excavated maybe we could look forward to a CD from isokani.

Theodor Leschetziky (1830-1915) - hopefully needs no introduction and is well served on IMSLP, although a couple of scans were slightly blurred so I decided to scan these from my own collection, and thought it worth sharing here. The Schubert is definitely a poor scan on IMSLP.
