No problem, Alex. I'm always happy to help out. Music is meant to be shared and enjoyed by everyone!

Here are two small Russian rarities for the group....pieces by one V. Abadijev and V. Abramowitsch.

All Best,

Frank

Here is a major rarity by one of the composers not so obscure to us...Constantin Antipov. Posting his "Allegro Symphonique pour Orchestre" as arranged by the composer for piano 4-Hands; Opus 7. I certainly wish there was a piano solo version of this work, but apparently this is all that exists. Enjoy!

Continuing on with the more obscure Russian composers, here is an ambitious work entitled "Salammbo Ballet Suite" by one H. Arends. I know absolutely nothing about the composer, but the work was good enough to be published by Jurgenson! Also included here is a short Polka by the same composer.

Finally for today, I am posting two works by Charles Van Ark; a set of two Impromptus and a Concert Polka de Salon. Both of these demonstrate an advanced writing style, and are a lot of fun to play. The Polka is a very ambitious work in this idiom. Both pieces were published by Jurgenson in Moscow.

The next two works by Nechayev posted above - Op 9 Two Pieces and Op 16 Three Preludes.......I have also discovered that I do hold a copy of the Op 41 Twelve Preludes, so will scan and post Nechayev's final piano work in the next few days.

Enjoy.

"Postumously?' I am very sorry to hear that...It is a pity that I discovered this forum only recently... Alfor, thank you very much for everything you have done for so many of us. RIP.

My last work by Evgenii Pavlovich Pavlov - his Piano Sonata No. 2. Although I can find no record of any works after this opus and must wonder if Pavlov either stopped composing, 'disappeared' or died sometime during the 1920's ? The lack of finding any biographical data is always frustrating in these cases.
