Re: Piano Trios
Thank you so much for sharing, Caprotti. It's a very charming piece! I was expecting something similar to his piano sonata but this is quite different.

Does anybody have the piano trio by Armenian composer Gayane Chebotaryan?

Re: Piano Trios
Here is one of the pieces I'd been looking for... An excerpt of this piece was featured in Chebotaryan's volume on polyphonic writing. I'd love to know if there was a recording of this piece:
Grigor Mushegovich HAKHINYAN (AKHINYAN, AKHINIAN) (Armenia)
Piano Trio (1964)

Re: Piano Trios
Though born in Odessa, this composer spent his life exploring the music of the Yakut people, a Turkic people who live in the northern Far East of Russia, in the republic of Sakha. He studied under Gliere and Vasilenko. A short bio and works list is here:

Does anyone have Louise Farrenc's Piano Trio No. 1? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG3_0zTawE8
What a fantastic trio! I am loving every minute of this.
I would love to practice this piece and maybe get to perform this with fellow musicians.

Re: Piazolla Piano Trios Invierno Porteno- winner
Piazzolla died in 1992, and his music is of course copyright, including the Bragato arrangement of the Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas, although oddly I am fairly sure I saw a Russian edition on Boris Tarakanov's site.stng21 wrote:Arranged by Jose Bragato. Re: Piano Trios
Not a traditional piano trio, but a trio involving a piano. This composer's bio can be found at:
