Re: Composers from the Caribbean
I am looking for Ignacio Cervantes' "Los Muñecos", for piano solo or several pianos/hands.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Composers from the Caribbean
on the topic of his "Rapsodias", I have a published album of many (almost all?) of his solo piano works, but I am having a difficult time finding this piece for piano and orchestra. Any information on it? Is the score 'postable' if it is out of print? I'd really love a copy of this, I think other 'concertonados' would be thrilled to lay eyes on it too?mballan wrote:I think Ernesto Lecuona (1895 - 1963) hopefully needs little introduction. His wonderful Rapsodie Negra.

I've been fond of that piece since I discovered the recording on Youtube a few years ago--I'm glad you posted a link. There was some discussion regarding the avaiability of a score on IMSLP a while back:

Re: Composers from the Caribbean
Has anyone located the missing pages 5 & 6 of the vocal score to Granado's opera "Goyescas"? This score has been posted to IMSLP but these two pages are frustratingly absent.

Re: Composers from the Caribbean
Here's an interesting volume that was printed in the Soviet Union. I'm not at all familiar with these composers, with the exception of Leo Brouwer, whose reputation comes primarily from his superb (and numerous) modern compositions for guitar.

Ok. Better to locate Cuban composers in this thread...
