Thank you folks...I always aim to stimulate and hopefully please ! And also thanks to Frank for the new Alexandrov works [A and N].....undoubtedly very rare works.
My next postings on this thread are works by Evgenii Pavlovich Pavlov. Beyond dates on the scores, which place him at the beginning of the 20th century, I am unable to locate any further biographical data on him.
Op 1 Lyrical Pieces [Book 1] – Nine Preludes Op 2 Scherzo in C# minor (Gos Mus Ind 1922)
Op 3 Lyrical Pieces [Book 2] – Three Preludes (Gos Muz ind)
Op 4 “La Mer” Impressionistic Etude [originally for Orchestra] (Editions D’Etat c. 1925) Op 5 Piano Sonata No. 1 “The Heroic” (Gos Muz Ind 1923)
Op 8 Piano Sonata No. 2
Waltz 'In Memory of Scriabin' Unfortunately, I only have one of the preludes from Op 1, but also included is Op 4 'La Mer' and the Waltz to Scriabin [apologies, there were some old sellotape marks on last page of the waltz, but have tried to scan with these as faded as possible]. I will post the two sonatas later in the week or at the weekend.
