Re: Alfor's Rarities
I had uploaded all the Brahms-Laurishckus some years ago (here attached). They are often abridged, but in many cases they represent the only published 2H transcriptions of some famous Brahms works.
I'm terribly sorry that apparently no 2H of the complete Brahms opp.8,87,101 - 25,26,60 - 102 was ever published ! And I don't understand why, on the contrary, a difficult piece like op.34 was.

Mykhailo D. TITS (1898-1978; http://www.law-guy.com/dummygod/Entries/S44859.htm)
Sonata No. 1 (for the young/youth) 1924
more like a sonatina Xaver SCHARWENKA
Zwei Erzählungen am Clavier op. 5 (pianistically fine pieces. Here as in in most of his piano music Scharwenka is pretty much under the spell of Schumann - especially the Schumann of op. 21, 23, 26, 32 or 111)
Sonata No. 1 (for the young/youth) 1924

Oh well, at least it was a moderator who started the awful puns that are likely to fill the next page of this thread.
Anyway I would like to point out that Alfor does not have the correct name of the composer.
It is in fact Mykhailo DD TITS.

Even my German tongue faintly recalls a different meaning of these four letters...HullandHellandHalifax wrote:and I love Tits...whoops![]()

But we can alternatively spell his name Dietz (which shows that his anchestors came from Germany!!), Dietzsch (dito), Tiez (dito) or Tiz and leave the .... spelling to other forums

Re: Alfor's Rarities
Dear Alfor, I just performed the Alexandrov Sonata-Skazka Op.4 last night in a public concert. The score was posted (unearthed) by you in the old PP. I think this would be a Hong Kong premiere. Once I got the video, I would post it here and dedicate the performance to you, as a gratitude for your generosity for continuously posting so many rare and wonderful scores. Mega thanks to you, once again!Dani_area_51 wrote:Thank you so much Alfor. Prokofiev is amazing, and really has beautiful melodies..I really don't have any time to play the most of the scores, otherwise I would post so much more feedback!alfor wrote:Vladislav VYCPALEK (very little known Czech composer, 1882-1969)
