Russian & Soviet Composers - Part 3

Here is a work by Anton Rubinstein that I have not seen posted anywhere.
His Six Etudes Opus 81.
There was a lot of feintness in the score, and I spent a lot of time going over stems, accidentals and staves
in order to make it easier to read. Because of the time it took to do these I uploaded them in three files of two etudes.
Here are the Etudes Nos. one and two. I know that Walter Cosand has No. 1 on his site, but in order to make the set complete I have done this again, although I have to say that his copy is better than mine. I hope he won't mind.

The Pianist is Fabio Grasso. The disc appears to be available.

Fedor Nikolayevich Nadenenko. Born 1902 in L’hov near Kursk: died, 1963, Kyiv. Composer and conductor. Graduated in 1921 from Kyiv Conservatoire where he studied piano with Turchynsky, and composition with Yavorsky. Completed at Kyiv University in 1924. Violinist and choirmaster, first with Kyiv Opera (1926-1935) and then the Leningrad Opera (1935-1937). From 1945-1946 became the artistic director of Kyiv Philharmonic, and then conductor, from 1947-49, of the State Bandurist Choir. Since 1952 was music editor of the publishing house Mistetstvo in Kyiv [works included the publication of the complete works of Lysenko].

A year or two back I posted the beautiful Poeme by Nadenenko, and a few members have asked about whether I could locate and post other works by this elusive composer. I did once have a few additional works from my first Russian music collection, which I gave to Goldsmiths at the University of London....they have kindly agreed to scan these for me and to duly post on PP. I have re-posted the Poeme for newer members. Apologies, some of the scans are a little faint, but hopefully still quite readable.

I believe the Russian and Soviet Composers composed the most beautiful and enchanting pieces in the past, and all these pieces you share with us are a true delight. I hope you're back for good, and I know there are more Russians to come!
