A tough nut to crack, Malc - this is the only reference to him I could find.

There are several mentions on Google Books of a tour in America by the "world-renowned" pianist Signor Albert Frenchel and the "celebrated" prima donna Signorina Adelina Frenchel! Apart from that, it seems that his real name was Alberto Frenchel, and he was a South-American pianist, probably Argentinian from what I understand by the scarse mentions of his name in piano literature, mostly touring in South-America as a pianist, or sometimes managing an ambulant opera company.
Thank you Malcolm for the scores.

I assume the initial is A and the composer is Aimé Michelot (1797-1852) who was born in France (Nancy) but taught at the Conservatoire de Bruxelles where he died.

Thank you Jean-Séb for the information...........I guessed if anyone knew anything on this planet is was likely to be you [you are very good at discovering data on these extremely obscure composers]. Very grateful :D

Dear Malc, you are welcome but you have a much greater talent, finding and sharing the music written by these obscure composers. And for that we are all grateful here.
