4candles, I had never heard of Auguste Guéroult. There are lots of interesting biographical details here :

Guéroult spent his life in Rouen (he was the organist of the famous Cavaillé-Coll in Saint-Ouen Church). He certainly met Méreaux who already settled there for a good part of his life, but I have not seen his names among those of Gueroult's teachers. He remained a provincial musician, although he frequently attended concerts in Paris and was friend with Gounod, Saint-Saëns and Heller and other musicians. He met Clara Schumann and played with her works by Robert and he was a promoter of Schumann's music in Rouen. He seems to have composed mainly melodies which are said to be quite good.
Guéroult has been mentioned laudatively by the writer André Gide in Si le grain ne meurt. Gide's family had a house in Normandy where they would spend summer and there Gueroult was André's piano teacher and introducer to the music universe.

I have since found this link to Guéroult (for some reason, your Google link didn't work for me). I can understand most of this (my understanding of French is only moderately good) and it seems that the composer's vocal works deserve some investigation! The non-Parisian musical world is really beginning to interest me and Rouen is a great place to start researching, from what I can gather!

Google Books is very irritating for non public domain books because it is zoned and frequently you cannot access the same pages according to where you are. Funny enough, your link leads me to a blank page! It always seems they manage to block a page when they have realized it could be of interest to you!

Boieldieu composed 6 piano sonatas, here is the "Grand Sonata"(nms-ttos), and I believe this is the 6th; I am looking for the other 5 and other of his works for piano 2h. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that was my scan and I still have to scan the rest of the book, but it is quite difficult because it is very large and brittle, and I have no scanner for the time being. It will come !

Use a web-proxy to change your virtual location. If you don't want to pay for one, there are plenty of free browser add-ons that will do it. I can even buy music from geolocked sites.

Before finishing Alphonse Duvernoy's op.8, I thought I would scan the op.9 since it is short. I do have all of op.8 in hand and will finish it soon.
