Apparently there is another unknown Niemann piece in existence we've never heard of: Neapolitanischer Dudelsackpfeifer (Neapolitan Bagpipes Player). This item can be found in the State Library of Berlin (https://musikipac.staatsbibliothek-berl ... 1&cop=:osy); however, they are very strict when it comes to copyright laws which means that we won't be able to have a copy or PDF file of it until 2024, except one visits the library in person, demands to see the original and copies it by hand...

This is very unfortunate since the aforementioned library also has several juvenile works by Niemann, his sketch books, as well as some rather obscure opus numbers (i.e. Opp. 3, 11a, 37, 58 [which I am still unable to obtain]).

It has been a while...

Since Niemann officially entered the public domain in the EU, I finally had the permission to order some copies of works that are sotred in libraries and archives. To start the next series od score uploads, I would like to share with you the cycle (probably the most extensive of his remaining works that need to be discovered):
Was den Kindern Freude macht, Op.58, published in 1918.

It doesn't! But I assume that it is an extract from that Opus 58 since this has a bagpipe piece too. His Fantaisie-Mazurka has also been published under the title 'Polish Dance Idyll'.

thanks a lot for this op.58. When I placed my order at the Berlin library about two weeks ago they told me, that the op.58 was already part of a previous request and should be available online on their website, so I had an idea that I should know who might have asked for this score ...

Btw: do we already have the attached work (which was new for me)?

This is funny! I definitely need to visit the library to get my hands on Niemann's sketchbooks (62 of them!) as well as manuscripts of Arkadische Musik, Op.179 and two small piano pieces.

The piece you attached is part of Niemann's Three Nocturnes, Op.28! But thanks for sharing! It is always interesting to discover some more mislabeled pieces.
