Well spotted again Jo. I suspect that you had a lot less trouble solving mine than I did yours!

Yes, I enjoyed. But instead of giving the answers (where's Brian got to, by the way?), let me continue the theme.

6. Ditch ugly vest (6, 7)
7. Gradual danger (4, 9)
8. Arrange ski guide (7, 8)
9. Autumnal English warmth (6, 7, 8)
10. Shun itchy lamebrains (4, 9, 5)

No doubt also a quickie.

It looks like Ludvig, Rued, Knudage, August, and Hans have joined the party.
(I think Brian's gone away for a few days - perhaps to escape from all this!)
Btw, the following could also have been invited to the bonfire night party:-
11. Pad merger (5,4)
12. Wet suet (3,4)
13. Bent fabric (4,6)
14. Neat speed (5,4)
15. Hefty boil (4,5).

I could say that in my merciful nature I gave the lesser mortals a chance but that might not be the whole truth
The real truth is that yesterday and today are my regular 15 hour working days (along with Monday), Tuesday is just the evening and Wednesday only the afternoon, the weekend is always busy with organ playing both days though thankfully rarely the whole day, so if you want to have a chance at beating me to the quiz then you must give me little chance by doing it on a Monday, Thursday or Friday. Now isn't that kind of me to tell you all this :)

For those of a delicate nature who are wondering what the hell Tim and Jo are going on about, all these clues and no answers, here are the answers, good clues but hardly household names unless you are Danish and even then you might be saying Who???
1. Victor Bendix
2. Dietrich Buxtehude
3. Niels Gade (Gade is the Scandinavian cousin by translation of the brother of Thomas Ades, Nigel Ades)
4. Carl Nielsen
5. August Winding
6. Ludvig Schytte
7. Rued Langgaard
8. Knudage Riisager
9. August Wilhelm Hartmann
10. Hans Christian Lumbye
11. Peder Gram
12. Tue West (long lost family member of Tuesday Weld probably)
13. Bent Fabric (smart one that, the clue was also the answer ;)
14. Steen Pade
15. Leif Thybo
cheers chaps

I5 out of 15. Well spotted Brian. To be honest, my last group of 5
were only added on so as to include Bent Fabric, one of the few
composers whose name actually sounds like an anagram.
