Thanks indeed for this. I hope people don't dismiss Méreaux's works outside his (technically valuable) studies. Though many of them have salon titles, I think some deserve attention - the best of which, I think, could sit alongside the works of a much more well-known composer... Henselt.

I am also interested to see if anyone can get a hold of any of his chamber works (Trio and Quatuor in particular). I think they are in the British Library, but I can't afford their copy charges at the moment

Great. Curious as to where you are getting the Méreaux files. Gallica is it, or are you getting scans independently?

That's right, most of them from Gallica.

Does anyone have anything by French(?) composer Auguste Guéroult? Pupil of Méreaux (I think).
According to one Romantic/late-Romantic era critic, he was dubbed 'the French Schumann', so that has piqued my interest.

Here is one of the pieces of Alphonse Duvernoy's op.8. I have some more from this opus coming in the mail, and when they arrive I will have 6 pieces from op.8. Thanks to the Pazdirek link from Precalculus, I can verify that op.8 has 6 pieces and it will be complete.
