Indeed, anything by Lazare would be great!
Berlin State Library appears to have several Lazare piano works, including Opp.16, 25, 27, 35, and 40,
but unfortunately none of these are piano etudes. This is the link to Op.35:-

Thanks Timtin. If anyone uncovers any scanned PDFs, I'd be grateful of any posts! :)

I'll add my thanks, too, to Caprotti for the Lazare Galop. Much fun to be had with this one.

I wonder anyone who has access to Library of Royal Academy of Music, London, UK.
There are eight volumes of "The new way to piano technique" (each volume about 40 pages or so) by George Woodhouse, which I happen to see in the library (but I have no access to borrowing or photocopying, I was merely visiting there once).

The catalogue record of volume III is (cut-and-paste)

Apparently, there are some endorsement (from http://archive.org/stream/bostonsymphon ... t_djvu.txt)

THE NEW WAY TO PIANO TECHNIQUE - An original system of concentrated technical practice graded from elementary to virtuoso standard.
By GEORGE WOODHOUSE

ENDORSEMENTS

"It is difficult to overestimate the value of this new work. . . . For teachers and even for advanced recitalists, the work is invaluable. ... It represents the mature thoughts of one who has devoted his life to the art of the keyboard." —
Monthly Musical Record, London.

"May come to occupy a place among the classics of technical instruction." — London Daily Telegraph.

"Mr. Woodhouse's suggestions for scale practice, based upon alert co-operation between ear and finger, appear revolutionary in a textbook, but they have the sanction of all great pianists. . . . THE NEW WAY eliminates the gulf between teaching studio and concert platform." — The Argus, Melbourne, Australia.

"The intensely concentrated instruction given in each book of exercises makes these a real new testament for all pianists." — Alexandre Bokovsky, Paris.

You have to e mail the Library and they will send you a quote, which is normally horrific. They are normally more expensive than the BL, which takes some doing.

Regretfully, they do not allow people to visit and photocopy their holdings.
