Yes indeed, Alfor! Many thanks for these postings of these exceedingly rare pieces which most of us have never even read about let alone heard. Thanks to your diligence, many of them will be heard again.

Bortkievicz's op 24 Eros is one of the most melodically rich, irrisistable pieces by him that I've played: not the subtlest piece, but a great crowd pleaser! The Diana Nocturne from the same group though also a wonderful piece (I think it was inspired by by his future wife if I remember rightly). Shame the third piece is so inferior to both of these; they could have been a great set to play together.

Thanks for these lovely scans of Bortkiewicz Op.3 & 4, Alfor--glad to replace the inferior ones I've had. These are welcome replacements to my much used and much played Bortkiewicz collection. Like Richard0428, I have often wondered what the "Satyre" piece was doing in the midst of the lovely Op.24 collection--it seems quite out of place with the other pieces.

Believe it or not, but
Borti has been trying some lines of polyphonic writing:

Thanks for these upgraded copies of the Borkiewicz Op.29, Alfor. I love these pieces, and right now I'm really enjoying "Celui qui aime au clair de la lune" - No.6 which is just luscious with its delicate effects.

Likve the DOBROWEN sonata very much, Alfor. This is yet another piece my small hands get a bit frustrated with but well worth the effort. And a much, much easier to read Op.33 of Borti--very much welcomed. It is hard to believe that only this year I discovered Borti--methinks I've been living in a cave way too long.

If you don't like any meat,

As the world's considered expert on Bortkiewicz I might take offense at your puns on his name "Alfi"......!!!! Where on earth did you get "Borti"! from ? Of course most people incorrectly call him Bor-key-witch....but should be pronounced Bort-kay-e-vich [original familly name was Bortkievich]. Nice to have these clean electronic copies and for your promotion of his music......so you're forgiven
