Actually, these two files (which were my bad scans by the way) form only ONE set, viz. the second set of the Maîtres Italiens. Unfortunately, I do not have the first set (Nos 1-25).
I have also a large selection of the three sets (i.e. with German and French works) that I plan to scan some day but the score is so big and its state so bad that I have not found the courage to do it yet. But I will eventually.
Jean-Séb
I can report some progress on the earlier Maîtres Italiens. In the book I have of privately bound sheet musis are #s:

13 Donizetti - L'Elisire d'Amore "Io son ricco e tu sei bella" (Barcarola)
16 Bellini - Norma - "Oh! di qual sei vittima" (Terzetto)
17 Rossini - La Cenerentola - "Zitto, zitto!" (Duetto)
18 Lulli (Lully) - "Voi siete il ristoro" (Duetto) [Not sure what work this is from, or if it is just a separate art song]
19 Rossini - Il Barbiere di Siviglia "Zitti, zitti! (Terzetto) ' [Anyone sensing a pattern here?]
(Aria)
21 Donizetti - Anna Bolena "Nel veder la tua costanza" (Aria)
22 Bellini - I Puritani "Vien diletto, in cielo" (Aria)
23 Rossini - Il Barbiere di Siviglia "Ecco ridente il cielo" (Cavatina)
24 Rossini - Il Turco in Italia "Deh! raffrena" (Quintetto)
25 Rossini - L'Italiana in Algieri "Se inclinassi a prender moglie" (Duetto)

It's a shame about 1-12 and 14, 15. But we're making progress. The wild card is the one I have as a single sheet; it's currently amongst the moving boxes (7 months post-move and lots still boxed). I bought it just because of what it was, and paid no attention to whether it was one I already had in the bound volume.

I'm also putting my computer system back together, getting scanner attached, and getting programs back (had to re-install Windows). But hopefully within a few days I can start getting these posted. And search for the elusive single score...

Greg

UPDATE - OK, the piece was easier to find than I thought. Alas, it is no. 41. The scanner is up, so I just have to find & install the post-processing image editor. I will post shortly the cover page from the single sheet (shows titles for 1-50 and makes a nice Table of Contents) as well as the Editor's Preface.

Scanning progresses on Pianiste Chanteur. 15-18 are scanned and cleaned; the set actually has 15-25 with earlier numbering incorrect due to misreading the 15 as a 13.

Visited the site of the French National Library and found a piano solo piece by Émile Paladilhe. I have collated the images into a PDF file; I couldn't take credit for the scans if I wanted to - BNF watermarks the images and I thought it fair to leave them. It's a shame they haven't digitized more since what they have online is really a mixed bag. And 698 French salon waltzes?? Not that I won't download them...

Here's a Sendspace link. I forget the PP file size limit but this obviously exceeds it; let me know if there are any problems with accessing the file.

This is a very long shot, but does anyone (especially our French contributors) have anything on a composer (also a writer and performer) called BL de La Martre (I can't find his first names anywhere).

I think he was a Rouen native(?) and wrote instrumental works including a piano trio and quadrilles for the piano and violin. The info below on the composer, though not overly positive, intrigued me, particularly the bits I've put in italics:

Cheers,

Scanning is complete for Le Pianiste Chanteur, 15-25 of the Italian masters. And just in time - in the mail today is a bound set of a few of the French masters. This set is a scattered group from Series 1 (1-2 French, 3-4 Italian, 5-6 German).

13 - Méhul - Stratonice "Versez tous vos chagrins" (Air)
24 - Monpou - La Voile Blanc (Romance)
25 - Semet - Gil Blas "Valet d'un petit mâitre" (Duo)

Anyway, here are the Sendspace links for the Italian masters set (57 pages, ~20MB) and Editor's Preface for the Italian masters; cursory glance indicates that it matches the one for the French masters and it's probably the same one for all sets. I'll replace the TOC I scanned with one for the whole group later - I had one for just the Italian masters but it seems pointless if there's a TOC available to cover all sets. This posting has been put in one file to match the other 2 files of Italian masters that are out there.

I'll start scanning the French masters soon but it will be about 3 weeks before I'm really scanning them in earnest.
