He also wrote a "Dekameron" which is - despite its title, which I associate with Boccacio's "Decamerone" - a series of easy pieces for children.
As an aside to this, I was interested to recently discover quite striking similarities between the first piece in this set,
À la Saltarelle and the opening of the final movement of Alkan's
Sonate de Concert, Op. 47, which is called 'Finale alla Saltarella'!
Our friend Mr Powell may already be aware of this...?

Thanks, Alfor! I really like the Glazunov.....and these fill a hole in my collection, too. The more I play his pieces, the more pianistic they seem.

Alfor, you really have a rare one here, that's for sure. This sonata is over qualified for a "fair copy"......Hey, if you want to see great score calligraphy, check out the scores of George Crumb. Oh, that my hand-written scores should look this good. (I've given up every trying to legible and now do direct entry into Sibelius.)

We are in good company with our non-calligraphic score-writing (Beethoven, Liszt...). Trede had no choice. He only knew "Sieblius" as a finnish composer and "Finale" as the last mvt. of a musical work
