Re: Alfor's Rarities
Thank you dear Alfred for the Sarnecks...the Op.12 impressions are really choice and that 2nd piece is very challenging especially when trying to approach "con fuoco" with those large leaps.
Am greatly anticipating Statkowski Vol.2.....it will be great having these 3 volumes. The only regret we can have is that the volumes are "selected" rather than "complete works" volumes---but with the additional pieces already posted we should be pretty darn close. I have been getting great enjoyment from Statkowski.

Re: Alfor's Rarities
Vol. 2 of the Statkowski lived up to expectations, Alfred. The Op.23 No.5 "Krakowiak" (Google translate was no help on this one, but guessing it is a dance) is quite a spectacular barn burner but I love the subtlety of the final mazurka.
Alfred, on the Sarnecka Op.9 pieces, it would seem that we have 2 movements from the first sonata and am wondering if the remainder of this work is known to exist....I quite like the theme & variations and the romance.

I assume you are joking!? Never heard of the Krakowiak op. 14 by an obsure
polish-born french composer named Frederic (Friedrich) Chopin ?
Krakowiak (french: Cracovienne, german: Krakauer) is a polish folkdance,
probably from the Crakow (Kraków, Krakau) region.
Today's Statkowskis will be a Toccata and some Preludes -
so hopefully no need to search the internet

Best regards and thank you for feedback
