The score that you posted by Joseph Fredericks “Whims” ins very nice and melodious; I found this mini album delightful , so I investigated a little and, I believe that i his real name is Frederick Joseph Ricketts (21 February 1881 – 15 May 1945) was a British composer of marches for band. Under the pen name of Kenneth J. Alford ( wikipedia has 2 marches for piano solo)

Thank you for providing that extra information, which I wasn't aware of.
Colonel Bogey seems to have been his most famous composition.

Btw, I've got some more items here ready for scanning, which perhaps
don't fit the definition of salon music perfectly, and which aren't by him,
but they are equally melodious.

When a composer uses a pen name takes the chance to try another style,and in this case, he succeed , at least the album that you posted is a good example.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone seen Benjamin Godard's Op. 120 - Romance sans Paroles (2nd) - an intriguing piece to be sure, but I cannot find the score...I will try to request it from a library, but I thought that I would ask here first...thanks to all!

Unfortunately, I do not have the score. It seems to be an arrangement of a work for cello and piano.

According to IMSLP, Godard has two Op120s, 2nd. Romance for Cello and Piano,
and Romance sans Paroles for Piano. All very confusing.

Whilst on the subject of requests, I'm trying to fing Georg Marcel's Silver Ripples
Valse de Concert. No luck thus far.
