How curious these exercises are, what with all the 10ths.......not many to be found in Chopin.

I am glad to see the enthusiasm expressed for your Michalowski postings, Alfred--which is well deserved--and I certainly share it.

Yes, actually he works on 10th pretty much, but the issue is flexibility of the hand, not simultaneous attack of a tenth, or even a tenth with the added notes (as a chord). Chopin had small hands and wrote this (and others) Etude in order to work on flexibility, which he developed to the highest possible level in his youth!

@Alfor: thanks for the hint, although they seem to have only the first volume of Michalowski.
