Many thanks. Szopski was born in Krzeszowice. I spent quite a bit of time there one evening last year when I was required to leave the train west from Krakow because I had the wrong sort of ticket...

You are welcome! - An awful lot of consonants you now have to deal with

!
To improve your polish pronounciation:
Leokadia MYSZYNSKA-WOjCIECHOWSKA (Polish female composer, 1858-1930)

Thanks for the Szopski, Alfor! About the Woyciechowskiej, Indeed a horrific name... The download link is invalid or so it seems.

How curious these exercises are, what with all the 10ths.......not many to be found in Chopin.
I am glad to see the enthusiasm expressed for your Michalowski postings, Alfred--which is well deserved--and I certainly share it.
Yes, actually he works on 10th pretty much, but the issue is flexibility of the hand, not simultaneous attack of a tenth, or even a tenth with the added notes (as a chord). Chopin had small hands and wrote this (and others) Etude in order to work on flexibility, which he developed to the highest possible level in his youth!
@Alfor: thanks for the hint, although they seem to have only the first volume of Michalowski.

This is the GENITIVE case of a female name -- the nominative is much easier! Leokadia Myszyńska-Wojciechowska ... as you have thoughtfully provided us with...
