Truly polish!

Mit herzlichen Grüßen nach Gleiwitz! (Yes, I know, Gleiwitz' pianists tend to prefer other sorts of music!)

Some pianophilians may remember my previous postings. Now it is time to make things complete
(apart from a couple of sonatinas, published without opus numbers).

non-alfor scans:

Aleksandr MICHALOWSKI
Menuet op. 8
Michalowski Menuet op.8.pdf
Mélodie op. 12
Michalowski Melodie op.12.pdf
Prélude op. 14
Michalowski Prel. op.14.pdf

Thank you Alfor for your posts of Polish source. I have noticed they are always quite heavy, but lend themselves very well to drastic reduction without noticeable loss of quality.

Thank you! These are polish made scans (alas, also in Poland today they have good scanners, but it is time-consuming to scan at 600dpi) and the original scores are rather bad printing quality, but I had to convert from DjVu to PDF, which did in fact increase file size.

Some more info on Antin Rudnytsky. There are several more online records from U.S. media about Antin and his (eldest?) son, pianist Roman.

ANTIN RUDNYTSKY, Ph.D., Mus.D., graduated in 1926 from
the University of Berlin, Germany and the "Hochschule fuer
Musik," where he studied piano with Egon Petri and Arthur
Schnabel, composition with Franz Schreker and Ferruccio
Busoni. After appearing for several years as a concert
pianist, he became conductor of operas and symphony or-
chestras in many European countries. He also conducted
the Carnegie Pop Symphony in New York and the Toronto
Festival Orchestra. The compositions of Dr. Rudnytsky
include an opera, a ballet and three symphonies.

I've looked through my book of Ukranian folk tunes to see if I can spot any tunes the composer might have use, but nno luck. I've had great fun playing this piece. So much music, so little time!
Hello Fleubis,
Since you have this book, is it possible to identify an Ukrainian song behing this piece by Liszt :

Alas, the theme from the Liszt ballade is NOT in my book either. I'm going to get me a NEW book of Ukranian folk songs with some depth to it.

Thanks for expanding my thread!

Now here is the last installment of Mr. M. (i.e. we have the complete opus numbered works**!):

nms:

Aleksandr MICHALOWSKI
Mazourka op. 16
http://www.mediafire.com/?hf1i2gc2wl5k99k
Mazourka op. 19
Michalowski Mazourka op.19.pdf
Reverie op. 24
Michalowski Reverie op.24.pdf
**op. 32 is a "missing opus"

P.S. I am planning a recital with missing opus numbers. So far I have scheduled:
Michalowski: op. 32
Enescu: Sonata op. 24 No. 2
any more suggestions?

Thank you, Alfred, for the remaining MICHALOWSKI. I must say, I have a special liking for his mazurkas....and now we are complete!

i have a silent piano you can use for your planned recital, just need to blow out the dust.
