Thanks for the Scriabin, Alfor. It's an immaculate scan, as always. And the edition is indeed very "pedalized".

Pedaled and fingered, indeed! I've rarely seen much Scriabin with such complete editing, and not badly done either. It is interesting to see Frey's suggestions for #5, my favorite of the set. With such a pristine scan, I moved #2 to follow #1 so #5 is at the end.

I really don't know why Mr. Frey (or the publisher) decided to put No. 2 at the end!

The Weisz etude is beautiful piece and very well crafted, but alas for my small hands, those 10ths are a problem. These are the type of pieces i just love: Romantic, chromatic, and all over the keyboard. Also much appreciated is your recommendation for the Scriabin album---I don't play much Scriabin, but this is sure worth having especially for the 4th sonata. Nice posting, Alfred.

What fascinating details you turn up about this chap YGOUW, dearl Alfred. Easy to see why he'd change his name, but the anagram is quite impossible to pronounce on this side of the pond. His juicy little miniatures do invoke a certain post impressionism and I have great fun trying to track down the influences you suggest in his music. Your insight is quite thought provoking. Thanks for posting this.
